The Central Orthopedic Group is please to announce that Stelios Koutsoumbelis, MD has joined the practice as a fellowship trained spine surgeon.
Dr. Koutsoumbelis graduated college from Tulane University in New Orleans. He attended medical school at the University of Akron.
Dr. Koutsoumbelis then returned to his native Long Island and successfully completed his orthopedic surgery residency at North Shore-LIJ, now known as Northwell Health. He then furthered his training and completed a spine surgery fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan.
Dr. Koutsoumbelis specializes in the non-operative and operative management of pediatric and adult spinal disorders with an interest in minimally invasive spine surgery, advanced spinal deformity and scoliosis, cervical disc replacement, and motion sparing non-fusion spinal surgery.
Dr. Koutsoumbelis will be an associate of the Central Orthopedic Group beginning August 29, 2016. He will be a wonderful asset to The Central Orthopedic Group as well as to our community.
