About Scott Barbash, MD


Dr. Scott Barbash joins Central Orthopedic Group as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his medical doctorate at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Barbash completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Temple University Hospital. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia. Dr. Barbash served as an assistant team physician for Philadelphia Catholic League Football and the University of Virginia and as team physician for Brooklyn College.

He previously practiced as an assistant professor at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he educated future orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Barbash specializes in advanced arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. He also performs complex open joint reconstruction including joint replacement of the shoulder and knee.
